Images and PDFs in layouts

If you want to use images or pdfs in documents, you want to be able to set certain properties to optimize the view of these types of files for mobile and desktop. With the help of the image slider and the possibility to view images and pdfs in an overview grid you can modify the view dramatically.

Overview grid

By default images/pdfs and are not shown in an attachment field in the overview grid. You can choose to show an image/pdf from the attachment field.

You can show images/pdf in the overview grid by taking these steps:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on Layouts
3. Click on an Overview Grid layout.
4. Click the edit pencil on an attachment field.
5. A table with the field properties shows on the right side of the screen.
6. Set the property Show Image in Overview to checked.

Showing images/pdfs in documents can be achieved by using the Image Slider in a Document Page layout.

You can show images/pdf in the document page by taking these steps:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Click on Layouts
3. Click on an Document Page layout.
4. Add an Image slider element from the library to the header section.
5. Click the edit pencil on the image slider.
6. A table with the field properties shows on the right side of the screen.

Note: The Image Slider is not reactive. After adding a new attachment the page should be saved and refreshed to see the update.
