Maps

Layouts of the type Map Overview Layout are used to show documents with geographical information on a map.

Note: The map functionality will only work if a Google API Key is set in the environment.

Creating a map overview layout

Please take the following steps to create a map overview layout:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click on a layouts
  3. Click on New.
  4. Enter the label and the name of the status in the Label and Name fields respectively. If you enter a label and press Tab, BizzStream will automatically propose a name. The name has to be unique within the environment.
  5. In the Type field, select Overview Map.
  6. Choose a document definition in the Document Definition field.
  7. By clicking the OK button, the layout is created.

Map properties
You can specify map overview specific properties by going to the Layout Properties side pane.

Setting Description
Location Field The field that will be used to determine the location. This can only be a geolocation field.
Label The label is shown next to the marker on the map. You can use BizzStream Expressions.
User Action for Saving Updates The user action that is executed when a document is moved within the map by a user/visitor. You can choose an user action that is defined in the workflow of the document definition.

The default zoom level and center point for all users of the map can be set in the layout editor.
